Trip to Taiwan and difference between Miri

Dear love and children,

After a long rest due to health, I forced myself to begin write blog for my children memory with father in future. So, I took action to travel Taiwan with my family, do you guys can remember the memories. Overall of the trip give me an idea that Miri have the potential to be Tourism but need Mirians to work together as one. There are so many things can be done for Miri to boost its tourism city. What is your idea that can build Miri in Tourism Sector?

Green Land

Before we landed to Taiwan, I look through the window and it is so beautiful cover with green and good water catchments. How about Miri, you will see the green too but the trees are palm oil with a lot tracks. I really disappointed on Miri on land usage. Always give negative feedback on my beloved land. How can it be? I am Engineer, my duty is to improve the lifestyle of people and help surrounding.

Miri can be improved. Since the roadside view now is covered by palm tree farm, farmer can plant other plants such as pinto pea plant which can build the nitrogen of the land. Pinto pea is a nitrogen fixer to help the palm tree gain the nitrogen easily rather received from fertilizer. They (farmers) can beautify the land with flowers. They can collect honey and produce more bees. Maybe some of you don’t know the bees are declining since late 1990s. Science book mentions we suppose to protect the Earth because we have brain but [what we had done to the world – Michael Jackson]. Have various trees in order to create “artificial forest” might improve the yield production or soils. I believe building a farm like forest improve the ecosystem. Why? Do you ever see a forest that is dying by itself?? Always remember, Forest died because external activities come. Next is the water catchment that help the farmers have extra income and it can be tourist spot if you plan it well. Think and It will come to you

We have a lot of national park but I personally think need to improve the facilities such as the roads, sign boards, map guide, rest stops and events

Wetland and Beach

How can we lose to them in term of water. Miri has Tusan Beach and Explanade Beach. Here we got diving activities but still don’t draw a lot of attention. Of course, we still need more time in promoting and while waiting, think some activities can attract. Put a board of education will help people to understand history, specialty or etc. What I concern are the people who love to vandalize things. I don’t understand why these people don’t want to boost the economic of Miri. Perhaps, we need a community to approach them and guide them a proper direction and vision of the loving Miri. Taiwan tour guides are amazing, they promote a certain area such as the wetland. I don’t understand what so nice to see at the crab and muddy fish but it bring a lot tourists and their people to enjoy the wetland and beach. The building structures, statues and info board are well maintain. 1 thing Mirians need to do is, think on care every parts in Miri. We have waterfall at Lambir Nature Park which is good. Just hoping some improve of the pathway for those who just want to enjoy the nature (there is a challenging route for youngster to take challenge) and facility. Maybe create an AR map apps to escort the tourists move around.

Cleanliness and Vandalism

In Taiwan, they really good in hiding or keep their garbage well. And the government enforce the citizen to keep the garbage and bring it home to throw. You hardly see rubbish bin around the place and yet no rubbish around the tourist spot, incredible but terrible too for tourist, we travelling there and dunno your policy.. Mirian perhaps need to look at our problem, we have morale education but it is unless. Inside the question, we write “do not litter” but application wise is difference. Open the car window and take out a plastic bag to fly in the air, oh so artistic. Vandalism is an act for immature people who acting to be cool or strong. Everywhere happen but how serious it is. Taiwan, yes but not as many as Miri. So please, those who like vandalize, perhaps find a better hobby that you can focus on. Who know, u indulge into it and change it into a business or serve the community, more worth.

The Reason on trip

The main reason I choose this trip, I want to fulfill my mother dream. She and my late father decided to go Taiwan in 2015 but my late father can’t make it due to medical shock in Luanda, Africa. They even invited my parent-in-law to go. My mom felt sad and wanted to step into the Country as her promise with dad. So I initiated the intention with my siblings and decided to go this year. All the planning at Taiwan are done by my sister-in-law. It is not me<lazy in planning> Muahahahahaha.

Second reason is life is too short. After my health had problem, my mindset change from positive to negative (worry, doubt, fear), so want to spend more time with family and create memories. However, after the trip, I change my negative to positive (happy, enjoy and forward). It is of course I rely to my God in Heaven to hold my hands, push me forward and smile with me. Love and my children remember to love God who bless you all the time.
