Remember 1st January 2021, the day, you my child cry because unable to win the UNO cards game with your friends. Of course you are still young and just start to develop. The reasons that you blame are
- They don’t let you win
- They are older than you
I told you indeed your reasons are right but that are not the major. The main reason is your attitude. You have the mindset of just want to win without thinking how to win. All games are build about trying to be the winner, so that is right for your friends not to let you win. Unlike daddy who will purposely lose to you just to make you feel happy. Once you get growing up, I will not let you win more because I want you to start to use your BRAIN. You need to improve the thinking skills. Thinking Skills are the most important for you to survive this world. Take an example on the UNO cards game. In order to win, you need to think
- How to win with the cards you have?
- Which should I throw 1st?
- How many cards opponent have and what they don’t have?
- What cards have been play and how many left and chances your opponents might have it?
Daddy take more longer time to learn about thinking skills for no people guide me. When I was young, play games with my elder brother and sisters are tough because similar case like you. They more experience and able to think but I never give up, I learn from them, practice with them or self practice. In the end, I win some games that need analytical and critical thinking.
There is a game that quite well know during our 90’s using mathematic exercise books call Main Titik (perhaps we can make apps from it). Normally 2 players that play it but can up to 3-4 players and difficult to conquer bigger size will be hard. The game is join the line that your complete dots before your opponent complete join over you on the mathematic exercise book. To win the game is calculate the number of the enemy dot in your conquering area. But normally we based on the biggest size for there is strategic/technique to conquer people. Daddy play the game during primary and my friend teach me techniques to win. So daddy also becoming one of the conquerors in my class. One day, my elder sister challenge me play the game, of course daddy didn’t look down my opponent because it is 1st time, you don’t know people ability on the game (I always have this mindset- maybe due to experience when play games, Hahahaha). End up, I easily beat my sister. Then my eldest brother challenge because he is my sister master of Main Titik. In the end, I win the game. Daddy said this not to brag on daddy winning who are older than me. Is just that daddy learn, practice and think to win.
There is no EASY Way to master a single thing. You must BUILD the Fundamental. Once your Base firm to step on it, then start DESIGN and CREATE your building. How high it can go depend how strong your Base and how you consider the problems that need to tackle. Of course your calculations, materials and designs might go wrong and you need to tackle these problems time by time till you successfully complete it. All of these are KNOWLEDGE, THINKING SKILLS and ATTITUDE. Once you gain knowledge, start to think on applying it into your life. 1 tip for you is put the 5Ws and 1H (WHY, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHO and HOW) questions to yourself. It will help you all the time but you need to know

Always use them often. Make sure don’t always follow or fix to one style. Try manipulate them.
THINKING SKILLS
Thinking skills, everyone has the ability but not all uses them effectively including me. Thinking refers to the process of considering or reasoning about something. Basically, connecting pieces of information into one. If we look at Bloom Taxonomy, the simplest thinking is REMEMBER which you use to recall facts and basic concepts. Then go up to UNDERSTAND that you able to explain ideas or concepts. Follow up to APPLY is a next level where you need to use information in new situations. After APPLY is ANALYZE where you draw connections among ideas. Next is EVALUATE where you able to justify a stand or decision. The top is the hardest one that is CREATE. You need to produce new or original work.

Critical Thinking
My love and my children, daddy want you to focus on this Critical Thinking as your main Thinking while the others will be supporting it. Other thinking skills can be replace by AI in future but Critical Thinking is beyond AI level because it is process of analyzing, assessing, synthesizing, evaluating and reflecting on information gathered based on observation, experience, or communication. This skill is considered a Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). In order to learn it, you need to focus on these skills:
- INTERPRETING – understanding the significance or meaning of information
- ANALYZING – breaking information down into its parts
- CONNECTING – making connections between related items or pieces of information
- INTEGRATING – connecting and combining information to better understand the relationship between the information
- EVALUATING – judging the value, credibility, or strength of something
- REASONING – creating an argument through logical steps
- DEDUCING – forming a logical opinion about something based on the information or evidence that is available
- Inferring – figuring something out through reasoning based on assumptions and ideas
- Generating – producing new information, ideas, products, or ways of viewing things
